Weaving fantasy, reality, and desire...

About

Dana Alexander is a summa cum laude graduate of Arizona State University whose career was spent in Medicare policy, education, and audit. Captivated by the fascinating and creative world of fantasy from a young age and, seeking an escape from the monotony, the fascinating world of fantasy took hold, compelling her to write a Raiders of the Lost Ark/Lara Croft meets Lord of the Rings style series blending fiction with a little science and real-world historical locations in a tale of a strong heroine with more than a duty to a powerful Alliance. When she isn’t creating scenes, developing mysterious realms, and weaving fact with fiction, her time is spent with family keeping cool in the ridiculously hot desert with their two huge, swim-loving Labs, Ryley and Brodie.

Her series has been featured on the NYC Talon’s Top 15 Beach Reads, with Flight of the Feathered Serpent selected as one of only nine for NetGalley’s “Next in a Series”. Dana has received positive remarks from editorial reviews and readers who’ve given their valuable time to share their thoughts.

On a more personal note, Dana is passionate about efforts that work toward ending abuse, loves the wisdom and depth found in the human spirit, and is fond of good stories, fine tea, performance cars, and Labradors. She loves connecting with readers and writers, exploring fantastic worlds in all types of novels, and baking some sweet treat to be devoured in a day by her family with the hopes a bite might be left for tea.
